So I decided that I would be interested in applying to the University of Washington Seattle. My dad drove me through the camous & I loved it. This is just a quick post, I got a few cool things from Seattle. Tell more about it later. I'm too sick to function.

YOUR GENES & MY GENES
There is now a kit out there in the world open to public use of discovering more information about your genes. Click on the tab "how it works" to understand it. But you basically give a sample of your saliva & send it to a certain lab.

I'm immensely interested in purchasing it but the price is holding me back completely. I want to know more about myself though. My complete heritage, health, & traits.

Tomorrow I'll be staying at my school for four days. I need to get my senior service hours done so me & a group of other students are gonna be doing volunteer work. You know what sucks though, NO ELECTRONICS. No cell phones, ipods, laptops, nada. So this is goodbye for four days!

My July Fourth began with waking up in my friend Felz' bed & us being picked up by this guy Mikey around 10 A.M. We were off to the gigantic American Apparel warehouse sale. I don't buy AA clothing at all. UNLESS, it's cheap or I steal it. Shhh..

Felz told me last year was bigger & more crowded. We found some friends, cut the line, & had to pay a $5 entrance fee. (pissed me off)
So I look through the clothing & it's all the reject clothing from AA. I couldn't even find a decent skirt, they were all 90's looking skirts that feel like it's made of towel. I was frustrated & sunburned. I only got a massive green sweater dress & a see through white tank dress.

Now the day before that, Felz & I hung out with my friends Nick, Eric, & Derek (summer love hehehe). We all went to an art show in Santa Monica & hung out around that area. A country club was shooting off early fireworks near the Santa Monica Pier that night so we all huddled together on a cliff & yelled in excitement.

Felz & I did our nails with my F21 nail decals. I ghetto'd my nails up.

(BLURRY :[    it's hearts, lace, bows & rhinestones)

*Forewarning, my next post will only be about my new pair of shoes. My amazing new shoes....  C:

My summer love picked me up today & we met two friends at a house. Hung out at Menchies. Went back to friends house & my summer love came up with the brilliant idea of bike riding. Luckily my friend had four bikes, so he dragged them out of his garage, pumped some air into them & the four of us rode off into his dark neighborhood street.
I haven't been on a bike for nearly four years so it took me a few minutes to adjust. Once I got the hang of it though I was smiling so much. The moon & stars were bright & my summer love always stayed close to me.

So I happen to love astronomy & owls. (If I was an animal it would be an owl) And my summer love knows this. So last night he told me he found my theme song. I looked it up right now & this is what it is:

I am filled with happiness right now.

I was able to spend the day with Madeline yesterday & we shopped for vintage purses & we got Thai BBQ. I love being with her, we deal with a lot of the same problems at home so it really helps to talk to each other.

(Thai food & Thai Iced Coffee)
Which leads me to today. I'm 17 and a half & I don't have my license or permit, so today I went to the DMV to take my permit test. I got 9 wrong & you can only miss 8. I felt bad about it & when I told my mom she made me feel like the stupidest person alive. She's great at making me feel like shit. She's also the only person who can make me cry in about 15 seconds. I really unconsciously care about what she thinks about me, so when she puts me down, she puts me down hard & I take it really hard.

I'm gonna be ghetto-ing up my nails really soon. The pink ones are from Forever 21 & the blue one is from...I-don't-remember-where.  (Sorry it's blurry)

SUMMER FUN
I have not been wanting to blog at all lately. Summer has been so much fun, I've kind of got a bit of a summer romance & I'm just happy. There are a lot of pictures to put up but I just don't want to. (Lazy)
Apologies for neglecting you Livejournal but I've been enjoying th real world.
I actually had the intention of deleting my Livejournal & having this be my last post but just as I started typing I felt a tugging in my mind to keep it. I think I realized I need some sort of outlet for my mind to just flow out. I have a lot of private posts for myself of just ramblings of my mind that I felt we're not internet worthy. I feel as if I just switched my thought process on everything, from now on I'm going to post everything that comes into my mind.

I'm currently watching One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. Ive never seen it but I really enjoy it & recommend it.
I'm going to jump into music now. So for anyone who uses facebook, I took a quiz telling me what kind of music I most likely like. My result was Baroque Pop. I Wikipedia'd it & it was exactly my music taste & I learned about some new bands because of it. So if you have facebook & you find that quiz about what music genre you like then I think you shou;d take it because you might find some new music to dance to.

So NYLON magazine has a free downloadable summer playlist. I'm listening to it right now & so far i've liked most of the songs. Go check it out.  C:

School is finally almost over but the pressures of finals and all this homework is really piling up on me. I'm trying to be zen about it. I'm going to workout tomorrow to relieve some stress. I hate hate hate school. I wish I had some artistic talent so I could just go to an art college...
Do you wanna see my artistic talent from the Microsoft program Paint?

yeah, i'm a real Picasso.

Krys & I were in a Borders parking garage the other night & I saw this little piece on ceiling column. I like how there are actually sunglasses on his eyes.

I had the shittiest, but still fun, weekend ever.
-I had a sex comparison talk with my first love
-I went to a late night movie with the craziest old man i've ever met
-I got to smoke my fuckin' brains out
-I went to a party full of bitches, so then I had to make my friend leave early because I suck
-And I got flaked on

I recently finished Hairstyles of the Damned. I thoroughly enjoyed the book from the beginning to the end. It's in teenage language and it completely reminded me of when I was 14 & completely into punk music. Basically, I recommend it to anyone who's into the "fuck you" type of teenager books.

Recently, I've been really intimidated by the fact that i'll be 18 by the end of the year. Thoughts like, "Oh shit, I can now go to jail & get whooped," and other thoughts like, "Fuck, I don't think i've lived up being a teenager."
I want to stay young forever! I'll deal.

On a side note, I think i'll be seeing Passion Pit this Friday.

It's the day to love & hug your mummy. My mumz received a painted card from me & a card from the cat. It's even signed by the cat. A clumsy inky paw print.
We're going to go watch Wolverine soon & then spend the rest of the day at home, sweet home.

Yesterday was my friend Anica's birthday dinner/sleepover. We ate at her dad's Italian restaurant in Brentwood, headed back to her house & jerked. All night long.

Then last weekend I spent some time with my childhood friend Vee.

This past week has been excruciatingly difficult for me. The stress of SAT's is building up, AP tests are coming, my term paper is due, I don't understand math, and I just found out I have a D+ in AP US History. Bye college.

Not only school has been making my life miserable, but my home life as well.  Mom just lost her job.

Friends don't know how to be friends when it really matters.

I really miss my dad.

I have been dying to use this little graphic & the day finally came when I had a reason to use it. Only problem was that I didn't have internet! But I can't complain because I got to spend my Easter in Vienna.

Which leads me to my subject of Europe!

Before I arrived in Vienna, we had an 8 hour lay over in Paris. So we jumped on a train from the airport and went straight to Notre Dame. Now i've been to Paris before so the area that we walked around was all very nostalgic. 3 years ago my mom took me to Paris so it was nothing new but still as exciting. We did go to a lovely park that I had not been to.
And I have to mention how many guys are so hot there. Walking out of the airport in Paris I saw this guy who had very pale skin with big pouty lips and messy blonde hair. I'm pretty sure my mouth hung open. What sucked about all these handsome Parisian guys was that I was not looking so hot seeing as how I had just gotten off an 11 hour flight...
PARIS

From Paris, we went to Vienna. Vienna is beautiful. And I don't know if it's weird to wear dresses that go above the knee but a lot of guys kept staring at my legs and then at me and I'm not even joking but they would smile and be all flirty with their looks. So I guess wearing a skirt is kind of slutty..?
But the next day I I wore brown boots with a slightly longer dress (still above the knee) and a plaid jacket. So we went to a park and I still got looks. But there was this one guy who kept glancing at me and I, of course pretended not to notice because he was really cute and I was really shy. But later while I was just walking in the park he passed by me while I stopped ot get something out of my bag and when I looked up he smiled at me and I smiled back and there was just, like a spark in that moment. Cheesy, I know. but it really had an effect on me.

I got this really cute cell phone charm while I was in Vienna, picture below somewhere.
VIENNA

I have a lot of photos but there are way too many to put up here...
Anyway, after Vienna we took a train to Salzburg. Where our hotel was, was pretty ghetto but once you get over the bride to old town. it was gorgeous.
Haha, my mom made JK and I take a Sound of Music tour (the movie) it was hilarious and it was actually a lot of fun.
Okay, I don't want to sound like i'm all into myself, but I must be really attractive to European men cause I was nonstop getting hit on.
For example, Pretty much all the restaurants/cafes have outside patios where everyone sits and drinks coffee, beer etc. So the three of us are about to walk in a restaurant and I was the last of the three, and these four guys sitting at a table near the door start saying "Hallo, hallo" to me and I just smile and they're all smiling at me and giving me that "I'm undressing you right now" look. They were really handsome but it kind of creeped me out. For sure I was flattered but it was getting ridiculous. I had to buy pants because all I brought with me was dresses, and my thighs (I primarily wore tall boots) caused too many looks.
Yeah...I promise promise promise i'm not trying to be all "i'm hot." I just thought it was weird because I definitely do not get that much attention in the states..
Salzburg

After Salzburg, we rented a car and drove it through the "Romantic Road" which is basically a road that leads you through gorgeous villages. AFter about two days we arrived in Munich. Spent two days in Munich and then flew home. So I didn't take any photos of the villages we visited or Munich because it was hard on my shoulder carrying my camera...
All in all, it was a great trip.

Oh but I do want to mention that once it hits midnight, certain TV stations commercials basically turn in to porn ads with girls and their boobs bouncing around and girls fingering themselves...no joke, but it was hilarious.

my dad flew out this weekend from seattle so we could have father/daughter time. he's been coming out a lot more than usual lately because of how awkward our relationship has been. however, i'm happy to say we're fine again. : )
on friday we went to the grove and saw Knowing. we both actually enjoyed it but Nicolas Cage is so BAD in it. ugh, it was painful watching him. anyway, we went to back to my aunts house & in the morning my cousin lisa and I found some old friends.

later that day, my dad took lisa and I out to dinner in Venice. it was a mexican place called Lula's.

my dad & i look like siblings to me haha. he's 40 years old & look at how good he looks! hehe, i hope i age well too.  : )

yesterday, my life became a lot more complicated. hopefully everything will work out.

cross my fingers.

I'm currently reading Obama's book The Audacity of Hope. I actually really like it, but my problem is that I have to have it done soon (for class) & i've been slacking off. I finally started reading it yesterday and while the book itself isn't very long, it's hard to sit there & completely take in what Obama is saying because he'll sometimes arrange his ideas sloppily in a way that he contradicts himself and jumps to a new idea. But if you reread it again, then it ties itself together. Long story short, it's tough to get through.

Random thought of the moment; I will always love one of my many fashion idols Hanna Beth, but she really comes off as a very monotonous boring person. She has a kind of "whatever" type of voice that kind of irks me.  As long as she stays fashionable then i'm happy, i'll just avoid watching videos of her talking.

my whiny face:

& my indie/cool kid glasses: (me right now)

I'm lovin' this song & this video. ;o)
